What is the difference between Hirewell and other job portals I’ve seen online?

– R99 Essential package: includes all the features of the free package, as well as five curated applications through our recruitment team, increased visibility among the Hirewell network, and talent-scouting opportunities.
– R149 Premium package: includes all the features of the free package, as well as eight curated applications and personal interactions with our recruitment team, as well as personalised updates on your job applications through your tailored newsfeed.

As a jobseeker, why should I choose one of your paid packages over the free option?

What are my payment options?
This will depend on the jobseeker services you are signing up for:

Why do job ads from recruitment services not show company names?
Candidates who are familiar with recruitment agency job ads may have noticed that they commonly leave out the name of the company posting the job. There are a number of reasons for this. Sometimes, this is a client-driven decision because they haven’t communicated internally that they’re hiring yet – or the recruitment agency may have been asked to work in the background and not make it known yet.
If I don’t want to pay the monthly fee anymore, what will happen?
If you would like to revert to our free package, send us an email or message us through your dashboard and we will move you over to the free plan. Simply edit your details on your profile to move back on to a paid subscription at any time.
I want to work for government / the public sector. How will using your service help with my application?
Jobs in government and the public sector usually entail rigorous application processes. With large numbers of applicants applying for every post, the requirements need to be 100% met and forms meticulously filled in to be considered. For many people, these job applications require transport fees, printing fees, and a lot of time to ensure the requirements are understood and met to the standard of these departments.

The public sector jobs section of the Hirewell website divides up the sectors, showing those that offer seasonal vacancies. This gives a good idea of when to expect these vacancies to become available. By registering your interest with us, one of our recruiters will let you know as soon as these jobs become available.
As an applicant, what’s to stop me contacting the company directly or to stop the company contacting me directly?
When looking through job listings and applicants, you will notice that no names are mentioned. While you can clearly see company information, the details of the post, and the skills and experience of every applicant, you do not know the identity of either company or jobseeker on the portal. Showing interest in a candidate or posting alerts our recruiters to a possible match and, through our recruitment services, we handle this matching process on your behalf.
I’m worried about privacy and the confidentiality of my information. How does Hirewell address this?
We know it’s not always ideal to show you’re on the job market or looking to fill a position. Hirewell complies with the Popi Act, and protects the privacy of both candidates and companies in the recruitment process. In addition to this, we maintain high privacy standards – and will not forward any of your information to unauthorised third parties.
How will I know if my CV was sent?
Whenever a job application is sent on your behalf, you will be able to track the progress of your application on your personalised, regularly updated news feed on your Hirewell profile.
How do I know if my application is successful?
If an employer is interested in arranging an interview with you, one of our recruiters will get in touch to let you know. This information will also be included on your newsfeed on your dashboard.
How do I know if my application is unsuccessful?
If your application is not successful, Hirewell will notify you of this when this information becomes available – and will add this to your newsfeed on your dashboard.
When I show interest in a job or candidate, what happens next?
When you show interest in a job or candidate, an alert is sent to our team. Our recruiters then assess whether candidate and vacancy are a match in terms of skills required, experience, and other factors to save time and avoid disappointment. Where there is a match, we handle the application for you. Where there is not, we will let you know.
I found a job through Hirewell. How and when does my subscription end?
If you find a job through Hirewell, simply downgrade to the free package on your dashboard or contact us for assistance with your downgrade. Your CV will remain on our database and will be removed upon request.
What is the process behind the curated jobs under the paid package?
As experienced recruiters, Hirewell is highly proficient in matching the skills set and background of candidates to the right jobs. Once you have registered for one of our paid packages, our team gets to work to find potential positions and makes contact with these companies to let them know more about you and submit your CV. How does your placement service work for employers?
There are two services on offer to employers through Hirewell.
Through the first, simply register on our employer profile and create a free job listing. Once you’ve registered, you will also get the chance to browse our candidates and let us know if anyone on our extensive database is a match for your vacancy.
The second option is a full recruitment service. Register and upload your listing and the Hirewell recruiters will do the hard work of looking for candidates, checking references, and sending them on to you for interviews.
As an employer, what will I be charged and when?
If a Hirewell candidate gets the job, we charge a 12% placement fee of the annual salary of the candidate. No monthly costs, listing tariffs, or subscription fees.
